Caring for your pads ensure they remain fresh, absorbent, and long-lasting, so you can continue to use them with comfort and ease. ♡
BEFORE FIRST USE:
- Before your first use, pre-wash all your pads to ensure they are fresh and clean.
- Wash them on a cold cycle before wearing them.
- As this helps to activate the absorbent layers, allowing the pads to reach their full absorbency and perform at their best.
AFTER EACH USE:
PRE-SOAK:
- Rinse your pad(s) after use in cold water until the water runs clear, to help wash out the majority of the blood.
- Alternatively, you can soak your pads in a bowl of cold water, and rinse out the water every 1-2 hours until the water is clear.
- after using any of the first two steps, then soak your pads in the bowl of cold water for up to 24 hours.
- AVOID HOT WATER AS HOT WATER SETS STAINS!
- Note: if you want to stain treat your pads, as little stains may still be visible, simply use a stain treatment method before washing.
WASHING:
- Wash your pads in a warm 30° wash cycle or on a cold wash cycle. You can either do this by hand or in the washing machine.
- You can wash them with your regular laundry, as it will not affect or stain your other clothes, but this is optional.
- DO NOT USE FABRIC SOFTER, BLEACH OR HARSH CHEMICALS, as these can reduce absorbency of the pad and damage the waterproof layer over time.
DRYING:
- Hang dry your pads using one of our drying straps. Make sure the area is well ventilated.
- Avoid placing your pads directly on a heater/radiator as this can cause shrinkage or damage.
- DO NOT TUMBLE DRY as this can damage the waterproof layer.
- Air drying your pads help to preserve the fabric and extend the life of your pads.
STORING:
- Store your clean, dry pads in a box or drawer with airflow, such as a basket or an open container.
- This helps to keep them fresh and ready for whenever you need them.
HELPFULL REMINDERS:
- Always wash your pads in COLD WATER, as hot water sets stains.
- Avoid fabric softener as this reduces the absorbency of your pads.
- Do not tumble dry your pads, as this can damage the waterproof layer.
- for best comfort and protection, make sure to wear fitted underwear. ♡
